Why do channels experience a short power outage in the afternoons during March and October?

During an Equinox, satellites can come in direct line with the sun, causing temporary signal interference. You may face a power outage on some of our channels due to the solar interference with the Nile Sat. But don’t worry, this will last for approximately 20 minutes only and happens at the same time for about 10 days a year. Unfortunately, this is a natural occurrence, which we have no control over but your viewing experience should return to normal afterward.

Always remember, that you can download and keep entertainment from our On Demand and OSN Store to watch during power outages such as these.
